Shipping Minimum raised to $99.00

I am Diann, Accounting Dept, Advanced Tachyon Technologies.

I was asked to share a recent change and the motivation to do so. Our support department has had to explain this to several angry customers.

Recently, we changed the Free shipping from $75.00 to $99.00. This is a $24.00 minimum increase. We have tried to balance the overwhelming cost of European shipping, as it spirals out of control. Something had to be adjusted. We continue to negotiate better prices, but the overall cost are what they are. 

In my opinion, there were two main solutions:

1. Raise the minimum to $200.00 per order (David said no) Or

2. Raise all prices to offset the higher cost of shipping. (David said no)

I settled on David's choice in raising the minimum, before 21% VAT and after all discounts (subtotal) to $99.00 as a Band-Aid.

Your simple solution:  Wait a week and order one more product, so you can qualify for free shipping.

An interesting comparative example may help some to accept we all live in different worlds.

591 kilometers. Shipping cost is $18.94 (19% of the total)

In the USA, Santa Rosa to New York
4692 kilometers, same package. Shipping cost is $3.83 with tracking.

I know David has fought raising prices for 20 years. His reasons are admirable, taking into account the people over corporate profits. Sometimes to keep helping means collecting enough to pay the bills.
