The Perils of 5G: Unveiling the Hidden Dangers of Fifth-Generation (5G) Wireless Technologies.
In a startling revelation, researchers at the Environment and Cancer Research Foundation (ECRF) in Sweden have shed light on the grave health implications of fifth-generation (5G) wireless technology. Their latest case study, published in the prestigious Annals of Clinical and Medical Case Reports, unveils the distressing story of a middle-aged Swedish woman who fell victim to the perils of radiofrequency/microwave syndrome after a 5G base station was installed merely 60 meters away from her second-floor apartment. Astonishingly, this marked the third documented case of such affliction.
The rapid proliferation of 5G technology on a global scale has resulted in an exponential increase in exposure to pulse-modulated microwave radiation. Microwave radiation falls within the radiofrequency (RF) spectrum, encompassing frequencies ranging from 300 megahertz to 300 gigahertz. In urban environments, the frequencies employed for 5G currently reside in the 3.5 GHz band. What sets 5G apart is its deployment, with high repetitive pulses of microwave radiation that far surpass the levels observed in previous generations, including 4G.
To comprehensively comprehend the ramifications of 5G on human health and the environment, it is vital to explore the scant research conducted in this domain. Until recently, studies on the potential health effects of 5G frequencies were virtually non-existent. However, in October 2022, a groundbreaking study exposed animals to the 5G frequency of 3.5 GHz for two hours daily, five days a week, over a span of one month. Shockingly, the exposure led to oxidative stress, an upsurge in degenerated neurons within the hippocampus region of the brain, as well as diminished levels of irisin, a hormone intricately linked to weight loss and healthy cognitive function.
Returning to the case study, the woman in question rapidly developed a plethora of incapacitating symptoms following the installation of the 5G base station. These symptoms encompassed excruciating headaches, dizziness, balance problems, cognitive dysfunction including memory loss, confusion, and a lack of focus, debilitating fatigue, anxiety, cough, nosebleeds, urinary disorders, and skin abnormalities such as spontaneous bruising and eruptions.
It is crucial to note that the 5G antenna was situated on the roof of a neighboring three-floor building, pointing directly towards the woman's second-floor apartment. Interestingly, a 4G base station antenna had previously occupied the same location, but it was only after its replacement by the 5G antenna that the woman began experiencing severe symptoms of microwave syndrome. Notably, the 4G antenna was promptly removed subsequent to the 5G deployment.
An intriguing aspect of the case study emerges when the woman relocated to an apartment distant from any 5G base station. Astonishingly, all her symptoms promptly dissipated, only to resurface within 24 hours of returning to her original apartment. It is worth mentioning that the woman's dog also exhibited signs of ill health after the installation of the 5G antenna, with reports indicating the onset of diarrhea. Curiously, this condition resolved itself during the retreat to the 5G-free apartment but reemerged upon their return.
To ascertain the extent of radiation exposure, the researchers employed a commercial meter, the Safe and Sound Pro II, and measured microwatts per square meter within one foot of the woman's living room window over the course of one minute. The results demonstrated significant spikes in radiation levels. Furthermore, high radiation levels were detected in the bathroom, with the highest concentration observed in the bathtub, which happened to be closest to the window. In contrast, the bedroom, which lay outside the direct line of transmission from the base station, exhibited considerably lower RF radiation levels.
Critically evaluating the prevailing RF safety standards reveals significant flaws in the current approach to assessing health effects stemming from RF radiation. According to James Lin, a professor emeritus in the department of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago, most countries' safety limits for RF radiation exposure are based solely on acute heat or thermal effects that manifest shortly after exposure. Consequently, they fail to consider the long-term effects of prolonged exposure to such radiation.
The International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), a self-appointed private organization headquartered in Germany, formulates guidelines for reference values based on heating effects. However, these guidelines have drawn substantial criticism for their dismissal of scientific evidence related to non-thermal effects, despite mounting research pointing to a wide range of harmful effects occurring well below the ICNIRP levels. The ECRF researchers boldly assert that such unscientific evaluations cater to industry interests and facilitate the unhindered deployment of 5G and the wireless society.
In 2019, a staggering 258 electromagnetic field (EMF) scientists from 58 countries issued an impassioned appeal to the United Nations, urging the imposition of a moratorium on the rollout of 5G until thorough assessments of its health effects could be conducted. Citing the rapidly accumulating scientific evidence on the harm caused to humans, plants, animals, and microbes by exposure to wireless communication technologies, the scientists deplored the ignorance exhibited by national and international health organizations, who continuously overlooked the mounting concerns expressed by numerous concerned scientists, medical professionals, and advocates. The scientists went so far as to deem this dismissal a blatant violation of human rights, as defined by the United Nations.
In light of the distressing revelations surrounding 5G and its impact on human health, it is crucial to reevaluate the deployment of this technology. The well-being of individuals and the sanctity of the environment must take precedence over hasty and ill-informed decisions. As responsible citizens, it is our duty to demand comprehensive and unbiased research into the long-term effects of 5G and to question the prevailing safety standards set forth by organizations with potential conflicts of interest. Only through meticulous examination and a commitment to prioritizing human welfare can we hope to navigate the potential hazards associated with the advent of 5G.
